Big Bass Drop
Big Bass Drop is one of those games I opened expecting to close in two minutes and ended up playing for a whole lunch break. The idea is simple: you drop your line, watch the water, and tap at the right moment to hook a fish. Reeling it in is a little rhythm mini-game where you hold and release to keep tension in the line. It sounds basic, and it is, but it's tuned really well.
What surprised me was how readable everything is. The fish shadows move differently depending on size, so after a while you start reading the water instead of just tapping randomly. There's a light progression system — better rods, new spots — but it never nags you or blocks you behind a wall. You unlock things by just playing.
Controls are one-thumb the whole way, which makes it a great commuter game. On my test phone it barely touched the battery over a half-hour session, mostly because the screen is calm and there's not much heavy animation. If you want something to unwind with, this one earns its spot.
