Tidebreak Command

Tidebreak Command is a strategy game that respects your patience. You command a small fleet across island maps, managing supply lines and scouting before you commit to a fight. Rush in blind and you'll lose ships you can't easily replace.

It plays great with pauses — you can queue orders and step away, which suits mobile perfectly. The UI is dense at first but the tutorial eases you in without holding your hand forever.

The one thing to watch is battery on the bigger maps, since there's a lot happening at once. Dropping the animation speed in settings helps more than you'd think, and it doesn't hurt the strategy at all.
